In this hard-hitting debut documentary, Lebanese Australian lawyer Nicholas Hanna explores these questions and the crucial context of the Israel-Palestine conflict that is largely ignored by the mainstream media. The Last Sky focuses on the highly relevant yet largely overlooked perspective of the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, who share their insights with refreshing candour and clarity. Filmed in Lebanon and Occupied Palestine, The Last Sky is a must-see documentary for anyone interested in understanding the Gaza genocide and the escalating conflict in the region. After the screening there is a Q&A with one of the producers, Rihab Charida.
Rihab Charida is a Palestinian media producer and filmmaker based in Beirut. She is the daughter of Palestinian refugees who were expelled from their village Safsaf when it was invaded during the olive harvest of 1948. For the last 20 years, she has worked in the Middle East with various international news networks, including AlJazeera, BBC and SBS.
