With over 230 (commercial) events, 2025 was not only a successful year for our own cultural productions, but also but also for our events team that manages all our business events during the day. From conferences to festive gatherings and creative productions, Pakhuis served as a vibrant stage for a wide range of occasions. Time to reflect on the most remarkable events that we were able to host this year.
Afrikadag
Afrikadag is an annual event that we were once again delighted to host, as it closely aligns with the topics that we discuss at Pakhuis de Zwijger. The event aims to foster an equal and sustainable relationship between Africa and Europe, by placing African voices at the heart of the conversation. To do so, it brings together critical thinkers, policymakers and public voices to engage in meaningful dialogue and exchange ideas. This year’s edition welcomed more than 700 visitors, making it our most well-attended commercial event of 2025! Guests were able to join panel discussions, interactive sessions or explore the inspiration market, where they could meet up with various organisations.
Queen of Subscriptions Summit
The Queen of Subscription Summit, was by far our most visually impressive event. From the entrance to exit, the building was decorated with posters, tailored to the preferences of our partner. Even the elevator had its own unique branding, ensuring that every corner of Pakhuis was on brand. On stage, where the summit took place, a personalized lectern was set up together with some decoration. Our technical team even designed a custom WIFI network, just for this event. As a playful touch, we arranged some life-size games like Jenga to offer the attendees some time to relax.
World Cities Culture Forum
During the World Cities Culture Forum, we collaborated with our in-house kitchen to host an extensive lunch. Tailored to the preferences of our partner, the menu featured a wide variety of small dishes, both hot and cold, served in courses. Guests enjoyed options such as quiche and risotto, alongside a selection of fresh salads.
Unique Venues
Besides all the events we hosted this year, we’re also very proud to announce that we joined Unique Venues of Amsterdam. This is an organisation of 40 venues located in the centre of Amsterdam, which are all active in the event industry. As a community, we are invited to learn from one another and get inspired, which is why we are welcomed to visit the event locations of our colleagues. Next year we hope to optimise this collaboration further so that we can improve our own services even more.
