Central to this gathering is the honouring of our frontline heroes. We proudly welcome home the ‘Sumudees’, the courageous participants of the Global Sumud Flotilla. By anchoring their lived experience of seafaring resistance to high-level political and legal advocacy, we transform raw solidarity into an unbreakable, unified front capable of navigating the path toward Palestinian liberation.
Flotilla
The Global Sumud Flotilla is an international movement of coordinated, nonviolent action, by land, sea and across borders, working to end Israel’s illegal siege on Gaza, confront the complicity that enables occupation and stand with the Palestinian people. From ships at sea and coordinated mobilisations, to overland convoys crossing continents, each act of resistance represents everyday people’s refusal to remain silent and a collective commitment to Palestinian liberation.
