In many parts of the world, LGBTIQ+ people are persecuted and discriminated against, but when they flee to Europe, they meet anti-migration rhetoric and restrictive asylum policies. With the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum coming into effect in 2026, both challenges and opportunities arise. This conference explores the impact of these developments and invites participants – through lectures, workshops, paper presentations, panel discussions, and inspiration sessions – to share ideas and shape a future where every LGBTIQ+ asylum seeker can find safety and rebuild their life in dignity.
