For this edition of Queer City we are creating a space for reflection and self introspection. As mental health keeps being colonized by practices and theories that leave out the experiences of racialized Trans & Queer communities, we are ready to let go of the established ideas of what metal health is and for who it is. We are giving the stage to BIPOC Queer & Trans: artists, community builders, activists and mental health practitioners, who have decided to resist the norm and (re)create ways to understand and heal the mind. Expect intimate stories, conversations and performances of belonging, reconnecting and healing from community members that have resisted by finding an authentic way to practice and understand their mental health.
