Last Wednesday, Pakhuis de Zwijger and Bureau Burgerberaad presented the outcomes of their project “Climate Citizens’ Assemblies: learning with, from and for Europe”. From April – September 2021, the project brought different European key players from grassroots organizations, academia, civil society and government together to exchange knowledge and enhance the collective learning around Climate Assemblies in Europe. This exploration resulted in the presentation of an extensive public knowledge dossier, and the launch of the platform CCA-project.org, which holds concrete lessons for impactful Climate Citizens’ Assemblies and a 21-century proof democracy in Europe.
