Badass Tours is on a mission to fill in the gaps in popular history. They lead walking tours through Amsterdam telling its incredible women’s, LGBTQIA+, Jewish, and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous & People Of Color) stories — people who were often relegated to archives and footnotes, because they weren’t the ones writing the history books. They also bring these inspiring, intriguing, and sometimes infuriating stories to a wider audience through storytelling performances, columns and our newly launched Self-Curated Walking Tour. This platform lets users explore Amsterdam according to their interests and at their pace.

FemCity is een plek waar we maatschappijkritische vraagstukken onder de loep nemen en samen bewustwording creëren, mensen samenbrengen, en allianties smeden door middel van meetups, talkshows en workshops. FemCity biedt een podium aan iedereen die zich hard maakt voor gelijkwaardigheid en inclusiviteit. Een feministische platform waar we ruimte geven aan nieuwe geluiden en nieuw stemmen om te inspireren en activeren. Aan de hand van de actualiteit gaan we in op thema’s zoals de gender pay gap, (straat)intimidatie, de ‘pink tax’, de vrouwelijke anatomie, en politieke vraagstukken. In onze dependances NewMetropolis Nieuw-West en NewMetropolis Zuidoost bouwen we intussen aan een (vrouwen)netwerk op buurtniveau. Wil je samen met ons een avond of meetup organiseren?
