In Uncovering Creatives we cover the stories of creative frontrunners. Jennifer (AKA The Naked MC) Muntslag talks for an hour with our guests about making, entrepreneurship, (creative) identity, and social themes. This evening we welcome allround artist Jefferson Yaw Frampong-Manson and illustrator Julian Stips.
Julian Stips is a dutch artist who specializes in illustration, fine arts, print design, technical drawing and graphic design. His work is very colorful and generous: dandies and ambiguous, surrealistic personalities. Julian draws a lot of inspiration from nature, international cultures, the various decorative periods in art and costume history and contemporary fashion. He combines manual drawing ( pencil and pen) with digital collage of elements from his own paintings, watercolors and photography.
Since graduating with a collection from the Fashion Design department at Artez School for the Arts In 2012 he has been working freelance from his studio in Amsterdam.
Jefferson Yaw Frempong-Manson is a 22 year old Dutch allround artist. At the age of 4 he realised, after acting like he was in emergency at the beach, that acting was his thing. He acted for series on Nickelodeon, The Walt Disney Company, and since 2020 he plays Cosmo, one of the main characters in Spangas: De Campus. In 2021 he started at De Amsterdamse Toneelschool en Kleinkunst Academie. This young creative is not only acting, he is also working as a model and released music together with various artists.
Malu Ultee is the founder of jewelry brand BOUND STUDIOS. Malu started Bound at the age of 22. She is an independently enterprising Amsterdam native.
