Clubbing Heritage comes to Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam during ADE for an afternoon of conversations around community, club culture and the future of the electronic music scene. With supporting partner Goethe-Institut, the conference brings together artists, collectives and cultural professionals across two panels exploring how communities are built and sustained, how club culture is evolving and growing.

Electronic music culture has always been built by communities before institutions. Independent collectives continue to shape local scenes by creating safer spaces, supporting emerging artists, and experimenting with new cultural formats. Yet behind every successful collective lies years of unpaid work, organizational challenges, financial uncertainty and constant adaptation. This evening brings together founders, curators, artists, and cultural organizers from Amsterdam and beyond to discuss how community collectives are created, sustained, and transformed. Through conversations and case studies, the event will explore the realities of grassroots cultural work while sharing practical strategies for building resilient communities.
