How will the role of the Netherlands look like in this international context? How are refugees who are sheltered in the region actually doing and what is their perspective on their and their children’s future in the case of continuing conflict in their country of origin? Are there alternative safe routes to the Netherlands and other countries in the world feasible? What kind of possibilities exist and are conceivable for labor migration out of West Africa?

These and other questions will be the center of the discussion during the Great Migration and Refugee Debate that will be organized on the 18th of April by Vice Versa and Oxfam Novib. During the evening program we will enter a discussion with thinkers and doers from the political and policy environment, the academic arena and the civil society, about a robust vision for the role of the Netherlands in the world when it comes to receiving and protecting refugees and migrants.
