On our first expedition, we will visit Blijburg, Amsterdam’s city beach. Blijburgs founder Stanja van Mierlo has brought together energy company Eneco and cleantech development company Spectral Utilities (daughter of Metabolic) for the development of the Smart Power Block, an all-in-one energy storage module.
We will gather at Blijburg at 19:50, the program starts at 20:00.
Blijburg has commissioned Eneco to place 71 rooftop solar cell panels and a variabel refrigerant flow system. Spectral Utilities has developed the Smart Power Block, an accu that is capable of both absorbing peak production and consumption. The combination of 71 rooftop solar cell panels and the smart power block has enabled blijburg to reduce CO2 output with almost 65.000 kilograms and their energy consumption with 20%. Will these latest development contribute to self-sustainable offices and residential building?
