After a weekend of worldwide protests against the Russian and Assad Regime attacks on Aleppo, locals and field experts tell about if and how daily life is still possible in the city that is now called 'Hell on Earth'.

The shelling of the historical Syrian city has never been more intense, while a regime ground 0ffensive has started to advance into opposition areas. Many media broadcasters show images of a desolate city in ruins, which makes it hard to believe that almost a million residents still live inside the walls of Aleppo. While the engaged part of the western public might feel increasingly confused and inclined to change channels, we zoom in on how people are surviving in seemingly impossible circumstances.
